Amanda Muggleton - Performer
One of Australia’s greatest and most loved actresses. In a career that spans over 4 decades, Amanda has more than 50 theatre, film and television credits to her name including her long running role of Chrissie Latham in Prisoner, and on stage, starring in Shirley Valentine, Hello Dolly!, Entertaining Mr Sloane, HMS Pinafore, Calendar Girls, Blood Brothers, Steaming and The Seagull. Amanda's previous performance at Kings Head Theatre was The Book Club - “Amanda Muggleton is uproariously funny, achingly honest and admirably brave” Theatre Now.
Maureen Sherlock - Writer/Director
Maureen Sherlock has written extensively for television and the stage. Maureen is the writer of several award-winning cabaret shows, including Alzheimer’s the Musical: A night to remember which toured Australia and had a successful Edinburgh Fringe season in 2011. Her play Ada & Elsie: Wacko-the-Diddle-oh! premiered at the 2013 Adelaide fringe before touring to Victoria. She is the co-writer (with Rob George) of Lovers & Haters: The turbulent times of Don Dunstan which premiered at the 2008 Adelaide Festival of Arts.
Maureen is a published children’s author with four books under her belt.
Prospect Productions produced the big-budget mini-series “The River Kings” and the documentaries “Fearless” and “Trapped” for broadcast TV together with the family feature “Selkie”. The company has also been involved in a wide variety of stage projects including the 2008 Adelaide Festival production of “Lovers & Haters – The Turbulent Times of Don Dunstan”, the sell-out season of “Alzheimer’s the Musical” at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe, the docu-comedy “Ada & Elsie” at the 2014 Adelaide Fringe followed by the critically acclaimed premiere of “Coral Browne This F***ing Lady” in 2017. In 2017 the company also co-produced the musical “In The Dome Room (at 2 o’clock)” with State Opera South Australia. The company’s low budget feature film “The Battle For Jericho” is currently in post production.
